Niche Found

Hello, over the past few days I’ve been looking at a few possible niches and have come up with a short list. Out of this list I’ve chosen one that I think will be profitable for me. Yesterday I began researching news and blog feeds on my chosen niche in order to come up with current information which I then used to write 3 short articles.

Finding information for writing articles is pretty straight forward. I use bloglines.com to subscribe to news and blog feeds from google. I can then check bloglines and have all the current news and blog entries in one convenient place.

Today I will write 3 more short articles, which will be the content for my soon to be launched site, and also pick one more niche and do the same for it.

Niche Research

How’s it going.

Today I spent a few hours doing Niche Research. I started by looking a some of the products in various markets on Clickbank.com. After that I did a search on the various related keywords using Google Trends and Google’s Keyword tool. I looked at the number of searches as well as the number of competing pages.

I guess there are two ways to go about affiliate marketing. One is to choose a Niche which has a reasonable amount of searches per day but very little competition. This way your site can have a good chance of showing up on the first page of Google’s “natural” search results. Then set up a web page and do article marketing to drive traffic to your site. Hopefully by placing affiliate links throughout your site and the text of your articles you’ll make some conversions.

The Second way would be PPC. I’m thinking that you would need more searches (and hence more competition) to make money doing this type of affiliate marketing. I’m still very new and inexperienced at all this so any advice from experienced affiliate and internet marketers would be greatly appreciated.

One question I have is how many products do you generally need to market in order to make $5,000- $10,000 profit per month? I know the answers will very depending on many variables but if some experienced internet marketers could tell me perhaps what number they started with that would be cool.

Affiliate Marketing

Picking a Niche is the first thing any new and probably experienced internet marketer does. This has been by far my biggest challenge. Today I came across what seems to be a great blog and resource for internet and specifically affiliate marketers. The URL is www.affiliatemarketingdiary.com

Hey everyone. My name’s Nick and this is my first blog EVER!!!

I started this mainly to practice blogging and learn wordpress, but eventually (soon) I’m going to launch some blogs to provide useful information to people in various topics

I’m an aspiring (new) internet marketer and hope that by providing useful info to people I can eventually monetize my blogs successfully.
